🚨Asian Football Confederation will launch a women’s Champions League in 2023 including Australia.
The AFC in 2019 organised the pilot women’s Club Championship with four sides from Australia, China, Japan and South Korea competing in a round-robin format, laying the groundwork for a future women’s Champions League.
Two more editions of the Club Championship are being planned before the launch of the Champions League in 2023.
Africa is going to start CAF Champions League this year, and if I’m not mistaken this gives them at least 9 leagues to have teams from. The format for the first year will be 6 teams from each CAF zone, and the host league, and then a wild card.
